500 Hour

Hatha Yoga Teacher Training Course

Hatha Yoga aims to balance the body’s energies, represented by the sun (HA) and moon (THA). Our TTC emphasizes traditional Hatha Yoga practices, including Surya Namaskar, various standing and seated asanas, and breathing techniques.

Shree Hari Hatha Yoga teacher training

Yin Yoga, a blend of ancient Chinese medicine and Taoist principles, emerged in the U.S. in the 1980s. It focuses on opening energy pathways and restoring flow by targeting connective tissues and engaging the mind. Unlike more dynamic yoga styles, Yin Yoga involves holding poses for extended periods, encouraging a deep connection with one’s feminine energy and the nervous system through mindful breathing.

Who Can Join

Hatha Yoga, the oldest form of yoga, originally focused on meditation and ascetic practices rather than physical postures. Over time, it evolved to include postures that support long periods of meditation by enhancing physical flexibility. The Hatha Yoga Pradipika by Svatmarama, written in the 15th century, describes 84 asanas, marking a shift from purely seated meditation to a diverse range of postures.

I completed my 300-hour Yoga Teacher Training at Shree Hari Yoga School in Dharamshala, and I couldn’t be happier with my choice. Here, you get the full package – a holistic experience for mind, body, and consciousness. From the very beginning, I was welcomed into a warm and family-like environment, which allowed me to fully immerse myself in my yoga journey. The teachers are incredibly inspiring, knowledgeable, and wholeheartedly dedicated to their practice. Every session, whether asana, philosophy, or meditation, enriched me on a deep level. I am truly grateful for this amazing time, the many new experiences, and the wisdom I gained. I would return to Hari Ji and his wonderful team anytime! Namaste 🙏

I have not even completed my course yet but felt compelled to share my experiences thus far. Am currently here at the Bhagsu school undertaking the Yoga Therapy course, something that aligns with my beliefs that yoga should be for every body and everybody. It’s been wonderful so far. I also spend a lot of time in Dharamshala, and the school is so perfectly place for the beautiful walks that make this area so special. But beyond the course and location itself, what I have really absorbed from this school experience is the yogic life beyond the mat. This is my third TTC and I am personally very deep into trying to ‘live’ yoga in every possible way. But not coming from the culture of origin, it isn’t always easy to comprehend the whys and what’s of things. The simplest conversation at this school turns into an enlightening moment that turns on a lightbulb for me. There is no divider between the teachers and students. We eat together and this leaves room for these conversations. Even in class, the learnings expand beyond the curriculum. I have got so much more out of this course than the certificate I receive will even recognise. Some of these chats have been truly gamechanging and are evolving my practice beyond measure. Thanks you to the teachers - all of you - for truly loving and living the yogic path and sharing your deep, deep knowledge with us. It’s life changing. Oh, and a special mention to Shiva ji for the delicious food that you so tirelessly whip up for us three times a day. Watching you prepping in the morning whilst listening to the Gayatri Mantra is beautiful and guarantees that all the meals are made with love and lots and lots of lovely prana. Thanks guys. Certificate or no certificate, I’m feeling more on the path every day I am with you 🕉️💚 Hari om
