Who Can Join

In this course, you will learn the primary series of asanas through both led and Mysore-style classes. You will master the Tristana method, which includes asana, Ujjayi breath, and Drishti, as well as develop a deep understanding of Vinyasa—synchronized breath and movement—and the use of Bandhas, or energetic locks. The course also guides you in learning how to modify and adjust postures to suit different body types and anatomical structures. Additionally, you will explore the rich philosophy of Ashtanga Yoga, delving into the eight limbs of Raja Yoga as outlined in Patanjali’s Yoga Sutras.

Philosophy

In the Philosophy section, you will explore the history, meaning, and lifestyle of yoga, along with the four main paths: Jnana (knowledge), Raja (meditation), Bhakti (devotion), and Karma (action). The course includes an in-depth study of Ashtanga Yoga and Patanjali’s Yoga Sutras, focusing on the eight limbs of practice. You will gain insight into the yogic way of life, ethical guidelines for practitioners and teachers, and the role of spiritual community through Satsang and Sangha. Key concepts like the Three Gunas—Satva, Rajas, and Tamas—are introduced to help understand the nature of mind and behavior. You will also learn about the Three Bodies, the Five Pranas, the Five Koshas, and the Seven Chakras to deepen your grasp of yogic philosophy, energy systems, and personal transformation.

Ayurveda: Foundations & Key Concepts (in Goa only)

In our Ayurveda section, you’ll explore the foundational principles of this ancient healing system that promotes balance between body, mind, and spirit. You’ll gain an understanding of the three doshas—Vata, Pitta, and Kapha—and how they influence health and well-being. The course covers how to identify your unique doshic constitution and make lifestyle and dietary choices to maintain harmony. You’ll learn about Ayurvedic nutrition, daily and seasonal routines, and cleansing practices like Panchakarma for detoxification and rejuvenation. Additionally, you’ll be introduced to commonly used Ayurvedic herbs and their therapeutic benefits. Hands-on Training

In the hands-on training, you will learn how to confidently guide Yin Yoga classes, lasting up to 90 minutes or less. You will be taught to lead both the class and individual asanas, including how to guide students with their eyes covered, using verbal cues to direct their practice. Each session has a specific goal, which you will work towards. Throughout the training, you will receive personalised guidance from our experienced yoga instructors.

You will also have the opportunity to practice teaching, give and receive constructive feedback, observe others while they teach, and assist students during classes led by your fellow trainees.

Opening & Closing Rituals

Feel free to check-in anytime from 10 am on the day before your course begins. This arrival day is dedicated to settling in and acquainting yourself with your new surroundings. In the evening, an orientation and opening ceremony await, followed by a heartwarming welcome dinner. The next morning, your training schedule kicks off with a sunrise fire ceremony, setting a serene and empowering tone for the days ahead. On the final day, a closing ceremony will be held where you’ll receive your well deserved certificate, followed by a memorable photo session with your fellow graduates. FAQ

To start your yoga training you don’t need any prior experience. You can join 200 hr yoga training without completing 100 hr yoga teacher training. Shree Hari Yoga helps you to recover and have a proper yoga practice.
You will be provided a t-shirt from Shree Hari Yoga and it is compulsory to wear it during yoga practice.
